Call for Papers


This joint Eurographics <http://www.eg.org/> and ACM SIGGRAPH
<http://www.siggraph.org/> workshop seeks participants with ideas about
developing computer graphics education. These participants will meet in
Hangzhou, China, July 17-20, to share their experiences and their
visions, and to provide fundamental recommendations and tools for
computer graphics teachers. The conference web site,
http://www.cad.zju.edu.cn/cge03, has more information.

Participation will be based on acceptance of extended abstracts or draft
papers addressing the focus areas of the workshop. Possible topics
include:

*	Development of syllabi for advanced technical courses in
        computer graphics
*       Development of viewpoints on the breadth and types of computer
        graphics courses for different types of educational institutions
*       Visual learning in science and engineering
*	Computer graphics research and education in China

This workshop will be organized with a few presentations and then most
of the time in working groups discussing the main topics of the
workshop. The participants of the workshop are also expected to continue
some of the work after the workshop in order to achieve a real outcome
of the workshop.

Paper Deadline: March 31, 2003          Notification to Authors: April
30, 2003


To participate, send papers and abstracts by electronic mail to
cge03@cad.zju.edu.cn by March 31, 2003. If you are unable to send your
abstract by email, please contact the Papers Chair (see address below).

Authors will be informed of the program committee's decision by the end
of April 2003. We encourage authors who plan to submit a paper or
abstract to inform us of this as early as possible.

Partial travel support for selected participants interested in visual
learning in science and engineering is available by application to Mike
McGrath (mcgrath@siggraph.org).
